Indonesia’s Image from China’s Perspective on South China Sea Dispute (A Preliminary Study on China’s Perception on Indonesia)

Using image theory, the study explores Chinese perceptions of Indonesia in South China Sea disputes. The author argues that assessments of capabilities and cultural factors support an image of Indonesia as a potential cooperative partner despite disagreements around Natuna.
